One of the great things about living here in this valley is the attitude of my neighbors. This Sunday past I sent out a message at 12 pm  that the pottery would be open between 2 – 5:30 pm. 20 people came during those few hours – despite the short notice ! The pottery was bubbling with cosiness, warmth, friendship and glögg. The shelves emptied fast and I now look forward to my holiday break, hoping I will get time to turn some more pots! 20130606_140754-1

So….I have had this website for nearly three years, and never really learned how to work it. Yesterday I found out that I had nearly 600 comments that I had not seen! So I tried to read them, and accidentally managed to erase them all :) So. Here’s to a fresh start. If you have tried to comment on something or contact me; please try again :)

inside cafe flora

Ever been to Cafe Flora in Ljunsgkile? It is the cosiest cafe around this area of the swedish Westcoast! Charlotte who runs the cafe has a superb feeling for creating a cosy atmosphere,  heavenly cakes and sallads, and the interior stuff she sells are often organic and or fair trade. My kind of place, and as from today Charlotte is also selling my pottery! : )

It has been an intense time. Perhaps it is just as simple as the famous Swedish poem…” it hurts when the buds are breaking”. Maybe it is just simple as that; It is spring. Whatever the case. It’s been intense. Now – looking back, it seems beautiful. And isn’t that always the irony of it all…? It always seems like Just Another Beautiful process once I am out of it. But when I am in it, it sure feels tiring, exhausting, stagnant, pointless and I feel like a fucked-up failure, who is not really good at anything….Some train(brain) tracks are always the same. Kind of sweet I think…How can we  ever be failures? The days pass by… emotions, feelings, experiences, all pass by - and we are there to experience it all. But we are not our emotions. Thank God for that! So last month was the month when it rained bills. The fixing of the kiln cost 5 times as much as I thought, and it just rained bills. Parking tickets, chimney sweeeper, phone bills, water bills, insurance, riding school, internet, bills from charities and institutions…you name it. And I kept dreaming of that future me- the one I would be when I was on top of it all…:

TOMORROW,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           as I stand on the doorstep bathing in sunlight, waving goodbye to my perfectly sweet neat children, accompanied by the chorus of birdsong, baby Miriam joyfully perched on my hip, breeze blowing through my golden hair; I will feel a jolt of excitement and skip into the kitchen, glide upon the yoga mat, make a somersault and land in a perfect split – the trace of three years void of yoga wonderfully vanished! I devour a perfectly green smoothie made from freshly picked organic salad and wild leaves and then sensually slide into the lounge and greet my man in a tantric orgasmic embrace that will leave all yoginis pale with wonder. After having blissfully rested in his warm strong caring arms, baby content playing in the kitchen, I stretch gracefully and step barefoot – of course – into our budding garden, caress the ducks and blow kisses onto the baby greens growing in our newly polished refurbished greenhouse, yes, breeze blowing in my sunlit golden hair and I am fixed and flawless, freed from mundane concerns, anxieties, fears, dreams, hopes, traumas, longings of the ordinary world. I am superwoman materialized, sexy perfect housewife and mother and TODAY I am me. REALITY RULES

Wow – today has been such a sweet day! Spring has arrived for real, and out of the huts and houses the fairy folks are emerging. The small roads between the houses are busteling with activity; Wood chopping, garden planning, spring cleaning and sun worshiping -it’shard to believe we are out in the middle of nowhere…by the small village of Svenshögen. Today I have met people from all over the world -literally – right outside my doorstep! So grateful for this community. AND – make space for the drumroll…….Ta da; Here is my webpage! Created by Fredrik Stoltz at Go within Digital Creations. I am so so pleased with it – exciting day indeed…for me!

Ten years ago me and Ben moved to the enchanted valley of Lake Hällungen. This is where we have created our home and life. A community has slowly been building up here, and here lives so many interesting people, with fantastic visions, I’d just love to share them with you all!  Hällmarken is the land upon which we live. It is beaches, forests, creeks and fields; community land run by lots of lovely people. Cross the river and you come to Solhälla.A flowering course centre where you can enjoy many different kinds of courses led by as well local as international teachers. Here lives amongst others an incredible talanted Hula hoop artist!  This is also the site for the yummy One Heart Festival that is run every summer!  Next doors to that is Hållbar hälsa, with Farmshop and Eco Cafe; Solgläntan. This is community living organic style!

Glazing pots is like painting in the dark. I have a clear image of how I want it to look like…but that is not always how they turn out! As in life I suppose…sometimes you are joyfully suprised!
